You deserve words that work.

Finding the right words matters.

You need a writer who gets it - who hears who you are, loves what you’re doing, and knows how to tell your story to the world.

Maybe you’ve found yourself saying:

“Ugh, I DREAD being asked to send a bio!”
”I’ve been trying and trying, and I just can’t find language that feels right for my brand.”
”It’s like, I know what I want to say… I just can’t figure out how to say it.””
“This has been on my to do list for AGES.”

My love. You need a writer.

Hi. I’m Karyn, and if there’s one thing I have in abundance, it’s the right words.

Words have always been an essential part of the way that I see, whether I’m helping clients write connections to the customers or audience they need, chasing definitions for our shared experience through poetry or lyrics, or helping big ideas make sense to our littlest humans.

Words are my frame for the beautiful tangle of life we’re living.

And my words can frame your tangle, too, no matter how messy and impossible and MUCH it might seem.

Let me handle the words, so you can get back to being the incomparable badass you are at the thing YOU do best.

Maybe:

you’ll take comfort in my books or collections

feel connected through our music and podcasts

or reach out to chat about hiring me to write something just for you

However we encounter each other, it’s my hope that in every word exchanged between us you’ll find community, courage, reassurance, and an echoing reminder of how deeply worthy you are.

We will work together well

if you and your brand believe:

Love is love

Black Lives Matter

Women have agency over their own bodies

Children are whole people with valid emotional experiences

Representation & Diversity are essential

All bodies are good bodies

No human is illegal

Your clients & customers are too smart for cheap marketing tricks

People are more important than product

Everyone belongs

One of the greatest tragedies of individual human experience is to have a talent to bring pleasure to others and fail to use it. You have the talent. Go for it; use it.

Here’s the story:

It all began with a blog post.

10 True Things About the First Year of Parenthood bumped my little blog into the stratosphere, generating millions of likes and shares. After landing on Huffington Post’s Best of 2013 list, 10 True Things has been translated into dozens of languages and spread sincere parent-to-parent support around the world.

When I started offering bio packages, I realized I’d identified a unique gift.

Writing bios allowed me to hone and share my unique ability to hear the sparkle in a client or brand, and define their purpose in a meaningful, motivating way. My bio clients often share with me how reading their bio or About Me page brought them to tears, helped them realize what they’d been working toward, or made them feel confident in their work for the first time.

As far as I was concerned, that ability to show folks their own power - that was the big magic.

Magic is what keeps me in the game today.

I actively seek clients and projects I truly believe in, because I’ve seen how the right words can create revolution. I’ve watched the way a article written less like a sales pitch and more like a love letter can not only sell product, but also genuinely improve lives. When we can both/and - grow your business AND support our fellow humans - then I’m exactly where I want to be in the world, doing exactly what I love to do.

That single article
opened the door to brand partnerships.

I spent my first few years as a copywriter in the baby/parent space, with a focus in babywearing education and advocacy.

And the magic isn’t just for grownups.

In 2018, I began to partner with my husband, Ben Grace, as a lyricist for children’s television projects. Together, we wrote 12 songs for Season 2 of Australian series Larry the Wonderpup, 20 songs for Peacock Jr.’s Babble Bop Season 1. We are currently writing another set of original songs for Babble Bop Season 2.
